Quick trip

Most things I need I can find in town, but sometimes I have to head to the big city. I love these little trips, so maybe I should do them more often.

On the way to the station I passed a group tweens getting ready for a bicycle outing. It was pretty amazing since I rarely see a tween on a bicycle. Did they rent bikes? Do they all own bicycles? And is it such an unusual event that they have to police on bicycles as escorts? Sorry, I didn't feel comfortable taking a picture.

The next unusual sighting was the shooting of some ad or show outside a bakery near the train station. I could not tell who were the actors, so I guess it was fairly authentic. Mostly it looked like people standing around and smoking.

Just across from the station was a stand selling fronds for Palm Sunday.
I have more pictures that I'll save for a longer post.

I did not have to go far into Barcelona to get to the kosher store.
I did have to be buzzed in, just like a bank or jewelry store.
I don't think it because the contents of the store were so valuable.

On the other hand everything for the holiday was about
three to four times the cost of buying it in the US.

I pulled out a puzzle to do on the train and found one I had cut out of the paper the previous year (you can see the date just under the bottom of the crossword puzzle, 4/4/16). I am grateful for those times when I took a moment to cut out the puzzle for some future enjoyment. Plus I can still look up the blog post that evaluates each and every puzzle.

A good outing and home in time for lunch.
