Mallorca, day three

Our flight was not until 7:50 p.m. and we were able to negotiate a late check out so we had a lot of time on our last day.

Our breakfast spot was in the historic part of town.
Some conservation work was being done, but it still looked good to us.
The building on the right is part of the parliament.
This is one entrance of the cathedral, where Gaudi worked from 1904-1914.
This is also the site where Moorish immigrants had their mosque before it was razed

After our historical stroll we gathered our beach items

and headed for Arenal, about a twenty-minute bus ride from Palma.

The water was warm, shallow, clear, and very calm.  There were a few other people and some people selling trinkets and offering massages.  By far the most common language was German and a lot of the stores had signs in German.  There is a four kilometer stretch to walk along and there is a little tram that goes back and forth.  While we saw an occasional car, the road was filled with cyclists and people strolling.

After we had our fill we caught the bus back to town, packed up, and took the bus to the airport. We were all very happy with our vacation spot and grateful for the fantastic weather.
